Easy way to make perfect Panchamrit, just remember this special formula of 1:2:4:8:16

New Delhi: Panchamrit has special importance in the worship of Janmashtami, from the consecration of Lord Krishna to the distribution of Prasad. This prasad prepared from five ingredients tastes delicious only when all the ingredients are mixed in the right quantity. Often, due to imbalance in the ratio, Panchamrit becomes too thin or bland in taste. In such a situation, the easy formula to make it is 1:2:4:8:16, which is also very easy to remember.

Selecting the vessel and preparing the base

First of all, take a clean vessel of silver, brass or glass for Panchamrit. Add one spoon of desi ghee in it and then add two spoons of honey. Stir both the things well with a spoon, so that the ghee and honey mix properly.

Mixing Sweet and Curd

Now add double the amount of honey i.e. four spoons of finely ground sugar candy in it. After this add eight spoons of fresh and thick curd. It is important that the curd is fresh, because too sour curd can spoil the taste of Panchamrit.

Raw Milk Pouring and Mixing

In the next step, add double the quantity of curd i.e. 16 spoons of raw and cooled cow's milk. After mixing all the ingredients, stir continuously with a spoon for about one to two minutes. Beat the mixture until the sugar candy dissolves well and the Panchamrit becomes uniform.

Finish with basil leaves

When all the ingredients are mixed well, finally wash with clean water and add two to three fresh basil leaves. Panchamrit is ready after adding basil. With the help of this easy ratio, tasty and balanced Panchamrit can be made at home on Janmashtami.
