India’s Smriti Mandhana smashed a scintillating 124 off just 64 deliveries against Hong Kong at the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup T20 in Dubai on Thursday as she became the leading run scorer in women’s international cricket history.
The 30-year-old Mandhana surpassed former India captain and legend Mithali Raj to achieve the feat.
By the time she was dismissed in the final over the first innings, the southpaw had reached 10,880 career runs in international cricket.
Raj had retired with 10868 runs four years ago in 2022.
Mandhana has raked up 788 runs at an average of 52.53 in nine Test matches, 5,411 runs at an average of 47.88 in ODIs, and 4,681 runs at a strike rate of 126.55 in T20Is so far.
The 124 against Hong Kong with 14 boundaries and seven sixes was also the 18th international century for Mandhana.
It made her the batter with most international centuries in women’s cricket, surpassing South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt and Australia’s Meg Lanning, both of who have 17 centuries.
Mandhana is now also the only Indian with two T20I centuries in women’s cricket.
