Raghav Chadha's name removed from Punjab voter list, opposition raised questions!

Political rhetoric continues over the deletion of Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha's name from the draft voter list during the SIR process in Punjab. Raghav Chadha has alleged political vendetta in this. However, Aam Aadmi Party and other opposition parties have cornered the Rajya Sabha MP on this.

Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar told IANS, “Everyone knows that the SIR process is being run by the BJP government through the Election Commission. The state government has no role in it. Making such a statement only shows their petty politics.”

Priyanka Kakkar said, “They should ask this question to BJP and they should tell people where they actually live whether Punjab, Delhi or Mumbai. I think Raghav Chadha is at least an MP. When his name was dropped, it became such a big news and there is so much discussion about it. But think about the countless, voiceless people whose names are removed without your knowledge.”

Meanwhile, Congress MP from Patiala, Punjab, Dharamvir Gandhi said, “I will not say anything about Raghav Chadha. You too probably know everything about him. He was a part of the Aam Aadmi Party for a long time and soon became an important member of it. For his political benefit, he left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined the BJP along with five-six others.”

Samajwadi Party MP Ramashankar Rajbhar said, “Now Raghav Chaddha has become Chaddhi. Now if he wears Delhi's Chaddhi, then how will he remain Chaddhi in Punjab.”

He said, “Bharatiya Janata Party has suffered a big loss due to SIR, because the voters of Bharatiya Janata Party are enlightened voters, affluent voters. There are people who have got opportunities, people who have got opportunities, have got their names registered at one place, two places, three places.”

Bharatiya Janata Party brought SIR to delete the names of some castes. They were successful in Bengal, but were not successful in Maharashtra, Punjab and UP. Because here it backfired, now it backfired that their voters, who were voters from three places, were saved at one place.”

He said, “Bharatiya Janata Party has suffered a loss of 15-20 thousand rupees in every assembly and now the MPs of their party should also prove whether they belong to this country or not. Because here it is amazing, they are not able to prove that the army heroes are residents of India and the big leaders are not able to prove, then this Bharatiya Janata Party is trapped in its own trap. Now the peak of the Bharatiya Janata Party is over, whatever heights it had to climb, now it has reached its peak.” There is going to be a decline.”

Earlier, Raghav Chadha said, “The Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has now taken its vendetta politics to the draft of the voter list. I am a sitting Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab and my voter ID is registered in Mohali, Punjab. Yet, my name has been shown as 'shifted' in the draft of the voter list. This does not seem to be just a clerk's mistake. This is clearly a case of political vendetta.”
