The bridge connecting Ramghat and Nayagaon-Hanuman Dhara Marg in Chitrakoot will be rebuilt at a cost of Rs 15 crores.

Bhopal. Due to heavy rains in Chitrakoot, Satna, the bridge connecting Ramghat and Nayagaon-Hanuman Dhara road will be rebuilt. This bridge connecting the main road has broken and washed away due to heavy rains and floods in the Mandakini river. Due to the breakage of the bridge built 41 years ago, traffic on Jhansi-Mirzapur National Highway and Chitrakoot-Satna road has been disrupted.

The Public Works Department is working on a plan to build a new bridge on the Nayagaon-Hanuman Dhara road. PWD officials said that the construction of the new bridge may take a year or more. The department will make efforts to construct a new bridge soon, so that traffic on the main road can resume smoothly. This bridge was built in 1985 on the basis of cantilever design. The slab of the bridge was removed from its place due to increase in the water level of the river due to heavy rains. Until the new bridge is constructed, traffic will be facilitated through other routes. Many roads have also been damaged due to heavy rains. The condition of the roads is bad. Due to continuous rains many roads have been submerged.

It will take more than 1 year to build a 110 meter bridge

According to PWD, a new bridge will be constructed to connect Ramghat and Nayagaon-Hanuman Dhara road. A new bridge of about 110 meters will be constructed. According to officials, the construction of this 110 meter bridge will cost around Rs 12-15 crore. Plans are being made for bridge construction. The bridge construction process will take time. After which bridge construction work will be done.
