Registration starts for 1748 posts of SSC JE

SSC JE: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the recruitment notification for 1,748 Junior Engineer (JE) posts. Candidates willing to apply for SSC JE post can apply on the official website ssc.gov.in. The last date to apply is 22 September. This recruitment drive is being conducted for Group ‘B’ Level-6 posts in Central Government Organizations and Departments – CPWD, MES, BRO and IMD.

Click on Apply tab
Now, click on the respective notification link
This will take you to a registration window where you will have to register yourself before filling the application form.
After successful registration, start the process of filling the application form
Upload Documents, Pay Application Fee and Click on ‘Submit’
Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference

Ability
Candidates must have Degree or Diploma (BE/B.Tech/Diploma) in relevant engineering field.

Know about age
The upper age limit of the candidates should be between 30 to 32 years post wise. As per government rules, candidates are entitled to post wise age relaxation.

application fee
General category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Candidates belonging to reserved categories – women, SC/ST – are exempted from paying any application fee.

selection criteria
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination and document verification. The written examination will have two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will have three sections – General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Related Test. The duration of this exam will be 2 hours.

Whereas, Paper 2 will have three parts – Part A General Engineering (Civil and Structural) or Part B General Engineering (Electrical) or Part C General Engineering (Mechanical). The duration of this exam will also be 2 hours.

pay scale
Selected candidates will be paid under Pay Level 6. This salary will be between Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 and will also include grade pay of Rs 4200. The basic salary will be Rs 35,400. Additionally, candidates will also get House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance and Traveling Allowance along with salary.
