Successful organization of Matki Fod League

Matki Fod League (MPL) Season-2, held at Yamuna Sports Complex, Surajmal Vihar in New Delhi, created tremendous enthusiasm among the youth. Despite heavy rain, a large number of spectators attended the event and enjoyed sports, devotion, music and entertainment.

24 teams participated in this league organized on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, which included 16 men's and 8 women's teams. In an amazing display of courage, balance, team spirit and skill, the players made human pyramids and showcased their talent in the pot breaking competition.

In the men's category, Tamil Titans won the title, while in the women's category, Kolkata Crushers won.

Founder of the league, BJP leader Shri Jai Bhagwan Goyal said that efforts are now being made to convert the tradition of Shri Krishna Janmashtami and Matki Fod, which has been going on for 23 years, into an organized sports platform. He says that the objective of this league is to connect this traditional game with the youth and to give it recognition at the national and international level.

League co-founder Mandeep Goyal said that Matki Fod League aims to bring together tradition, sports and modern entertainment on one platform, so that the new generation, especially the youth, can be connected to it. He said that in future, work will be done to include it in the major sports events of the country.

Many dignitaries including Union Minister of State Shri Harsh Malhotra, senior BJP leader Satyanarayan Jatia and senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh official Indresh Kumar were present in this program.

Cultural presentations in the program also greatly entertained the audience. Famous singers Ashok Masti, Shankar Sahni, Shibani Kashyap and Dilbag Singh gave their performances.
