The recent floods and severe natural disasters have caused extensive damage in several areas of Nepal. Many people have lost their homes and become homeless. In this situation, the members of the association started to deliver the necessary assistance to the affected people. On behalf of Bharat Sevashram Sangh, there is news that relief and service work is going on in the distressed areas including Lama Sunti, Ward No. 7 of Belkotgadhi Municipality of Nouakot District. Along with handing over the necessary relief materials to the affected people, humanitarian assistance is being done by their side.
Several districts of Nepal are still in dire straits after the twin disasters. Vast areas of Dhading district have been inundated due to the strong currents of Trishuli and Votekoshi rivers. In Nouakot too, reports of extensive damage and loss of life have come to the fore. Gorkha and Tanahun districts have also been alerted by the administration and many families have been affected. Monks and volunteers go to the affected areas and talk to people and provide whatever help they need. Although this is not the first time, Bharat Sevashram Sangh has been playing an important role in relief and humanitarian services during natural calamities at home and abroad for a long time. The reflection of that humanitarian initiative was also seen during this disaster in Nepal.
