The action of the state government is continuing against the madrassas which do not comply with the recognition and educational standards set in the state. In the same sequence, action has been taken against unrecognized madrassas in Dehradun and Haldwani. Minority Affairs Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate said that action was taken in relation to three madrassas in Dehradun. Among these, Madrasa Jamia-Tus-Salaam Al-Islamia located in Azad Colony was sealed, while the managers of Madrasa Dar-e-Arqam, Azad Colony, Majra and Madrasa Darul Uloom Rahimiya have given a written undertaking to stop the operation of the madrasas.
Madrasas stopped functioning
He said that till now 17 madrassas have been sealed in the state, while the managers of three madrassas have given written notice to stop their operations. Thus far, a total of 20 unrecognized madrassas have been closed.

In the same sequence, Madrasa Jamia Nuria Barkate Amina located on Shani Bazar Road, Gaujajali North in Haldwani of Nainital district and unrecognized Madrasa running in Indira Nagar, Banbhulpura have also been sealed. Haldwani Nagar Magistrate A.B. Vajpayee said that the concerned madrassa managers were asked to submit necessary records related to recognition. When prescribed documents were not submitted, sealing action was taken as per rules.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has given clear instructions that no educational institution will be allowed to operate in the state without prescribed rules and recognition. Under the new system implemented in the state, along with ensuring modern and quality education in minority educational institutions, the prescribed educational standards will be followed.
The Chief Minister said that no compromise will be made with the future and quality education of children. Action will continue as per rules against the institutions operating in violation of the rules.
