As casting for the second season of Harry Potter picks up, fans are witnessing new actors joining the franchise in iconic roles. The latest actor to join the ensemble is set to play the beloved house-elf, Dobby, who made his debut in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
The role of Dobby will be played by Doctor Who alum Lenny Rush. Taking to Instagram, Rush shared a heartwarming reaction to being cast as the iconic character, posting throwback photos of himself in Hogwarts robes alongside a copy of Chamber of Secrets.
In the caption, he wrote, “I am over the moon to be joining the magical world of HBO’s Harry Potter series, as Dobby. Even littler me (a massive Harry Potter fan, as you can tell) wouldn’t believe it! Very excited to join this amazing franchise.”
