LPG Prices Today: Along with the increase in CNG prices in Delhi and nearby cities, there is also concern about the prices of LPG and PNG amid uncertainty over the supply. All this is happening when the government is trying to reduce dependence on imported cooking gas, ensure supply from other sources, increase the availability of domestic LPG and expand the scope of piped natural gas (PNG) connections.
After Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) has increased CNG prices in Mumbai by ₹2 per kg, taking the new rate to ₹88 per kg in the city and surrounding areas. The new rates came into effect from the morning of September 1. Apart from this, the company has also increased the price of Domestic Piped Natural Gas (DPNG) by ₹ 1 per Standard Cubic Meter (SCM).
