Iran's 'lifeline' is again America's attack. On Saturday, the US army launched a terrible attack on Kharg Island, the 'oil empire' of that country. The missile hit an oil tanker. Not only that, it is reported that one after another explosions have been heard on the island.
According to an Iranian media report, an oil tanker was discharging cargo at Kharg Island on Saturday. At that time, four US missiles hit the tanker. However, Iran's semi-official news agency “Fars News” reported that a terrible explosion was heard near Kharg Island. But no smoke was seen coming out. However, the extent of damage to the tanker is not known. Nothing has been officially announced by Tehran.
Kharg Island is located in the Persian Gulf, about 25 kilometers (15 nautical miles) off the southwest coast of Iran. The island is a major hub for Iran's oil exports and is key to the country's economy. Iran exports 1.5 million barrels of oil daily from here. Crude oil reserves are located all over the island. Besides, this island is home to a huge Iranian military base. So if this island is somehow lost or damaged, Tehran's oil empire will be destroyed. In the end, the Middle East country will be completely crippled economically.
