BSP supremo Mayawati wrote in X Post, 'Today's death of one person from the Dalit community, who was injured in the mutual enmity and clash between two communities under Hapur Nagar police station of Hapur district of UP, is very sad. It would be appropriate if the government provides legal punishment to the accused as well as helps the victim's family. Anyway, turning mutual rivalries into bloodshed is highly condemnable and worrisome and such incidents should be stopped at all costs through government intervention etc. so that the dispute does not reach conflict.

Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekhar wrote in X Post, 'On September 4, in Badnauli village of Nagar Kotwali area of Hapur district, three people including a woman were seriously injured in the incident of stone pelting and firing by entering the houses of Dalits due to old enmity. Critically injured Deepak died during treatment on the night of 5 September. A family lost their son, it is difficult to express this pain in words. The most serious thing is that despite the already ongoing dispute and registered cases, effective steps were not taken in time to stop the violence. Today a family has to suffer the consequences of this negligence of the police by losing the life of their son.
He further wrote, 'Our demand from the UP government is that an impartial and high-level investigation should be conducted into this entire matter. The circumstances before the incident, the role of the police and the lapses in stopping the violence should also be fully investigated and responsibility should be fixed. Strict legal action should be taken against all the culprits who attack the Dalit side. Justice, security and proper financial assistance should be provided immediately to the victim's family.
