Thrissur: In Thrissur, Kerala, a speeding car destroyed the happiness of a family in a moment. A couple returning home from a wedding ceremony and their three-year-old son died in a road accident. The accident happened when the family had stopped the bike on the roadside to talk on the phone. According to the police, the accident occurred on the Guruvayoor-Kunnamkulam road shortly before midnight on Saturday.
35-year-old Munir, his 25-year-old wife Safna and three-year-old son Yamil Aibak, residents of Edakkazhiyur in Chavakkad, were returning home on a motorcycle after attending a wedding. On the way, he stopped the bike on the roadside to answer a phone call. Meanwhile, a car coming at a high speed from behind allegedly went out of the driver's control and collided directly with his motorcycle.
All three fell about 50 meters away
The collision was so strong that Munir, Safna and their innocent son jumped from the bike and fell about 50 meters away. All three suffered serious injuries. After the accident, they were immediately taken to the nearest hospital, but after examination the doctors declared everyone dead. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the area due to the death of three people of the same family.
Driver absconding after the accident
Police said that the driver of the car fled from the spot after the accident. According to initial information, he was returning from a bar in Kunnamkulam. The police is now busy searching for the absconding driver. Two other people in the car have been detained and are being interrogated. Police are trying to find out who was driving the car at the time of the accident and what was the exact reason for the accident.
A big accident had happened a day before also
This incident took place in Thrissur at a time when a major road accident had taken place just a day before. Late Friday night, a car collided with a parked truck on National Highway-66. Eight engineering students from Tamil Nadu died in this accident. These continuous accidents have increased the concern regarding road safety in the area.
