In the final match of men's doubles, Satwik-Chirag defeated China's pair of Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu. Both of them performed brilliantly against their opponents and won the title by winning 11-21, 21-13, 21-17.

Satik-Chirag created history

The pair of Satwik-Chirag had to face defeat twice in this tournament. This star pair of India had lost in the finals of 2023 and 2025 in the same tournament. Along with this, Satwik-Chirak had to be satisfied with being runners-up twice. At the same time, in 2024, this pair had lost in the semi-finals and their journey ended there.

India's star pair Satwik-Chirag had missed out on winning their third medal in the BWF World Championship held in New Delhi last month. He had to be eliminated from the tournament after losing in the quarter finals. Now this is the 10th title of this pair on BWF World Tour. This is Satwik-Chirag's second Super 750 title this year and their fourth title overall.

With this, Satwik-Chirag have become the first Indians to win this tournament since its inception in 2005. This was the third BWF World Tour final of Satwik and Chirag in 2026. He was runner-up at the Thailand Open in May and won the Singapore Open later the same month.

After this, the Chinese pair won the first game against Satwik and Chirag by 21-11 in 18 minutes. In the second game of this match, the Indian pair made a comeback and leveled the scores at 3-3 and 6-6 and were ahead 11-7 at the time of the break.

After this the Indian pair increased their lead to 17-11. The Indian pair won 21-13 over the Chinese players in the second game. After this, the third game of this match was also great. The Chinese players came out strongly and took a lead of 4-0. Satwik-Chirag made a comeback to level the score at 7-7 and took a lead of 11-9 at the break. In the end the Indian pair won 21-17 and won the title.
