New Delhi. An FIR has been registered against Moradabad District Vice President of Samajwadi Party Haji Mohammad Usman. This action was taken due to one of his viral videos on social media. In that video, Haji Mohammad Usman was seen offering namaz at the Government Circuit House complex in Moradabad. The matter gained momentum after the video went viral. Anit Kumar, in-charge of Circuit House and assistant engineer of Public Works Department, has lodged an FIR against the SP leader at Majhola police station in the city. Haji Usman is the uncle of Bilari SP MLA Mohammad Faheem.

It is being told that the viral video of Haji Mohammad Usman offering Namaz is from September 3. Leader of Opposition in UP Legislative Council Lal Bihari Yadav came to the Circuit House on Thursday. During this, he had a meeting with SP leaders regarding MLC elections. It is being told that after the meeting was over, Haji Mohammad Usman offered Namaz in the grounds of Circuit House. Police have registered a case under sections 285 and 292 on the complaint of Assistant Engineer Anit Kumar and started investigating the case.

There was a debate on this matter among the users on social media also. On the other hand, Haji Mohammad Usman responded by saying that this is a matter of worship, I have not committed any crime. Haji Mohammad Usman is often in the news for his controversial statements. During the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Mohammad Usman had given a controversial speech at the public meeting of SP President Akhilesh Yadav in Bilari. A case of violation of the Model Code of Conduct was registered against him.
