A customer has claimed that he found a worm inside the deep-fried chicken served to him. The customer made a video of it and shared it on social media, after which the matter quickly went viral. After the video surfaced, the Food Safety Department has also taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.

According to the information, this incident is being reported on September 5, 2026 at around 2:30 pm. The customer had ordered chicken meal from the KFC outlet located at Gaur City Mall. While eating, his eyes fell on a worm inside a piece of chicken. After this he stopped eating food and recorded a video of the entire incident. Later the customer shared the video and pictures on social media, after which the matter came into discussion.
Food Safety Department's investigation after viral video
After the video surfaced on social media, the Food Safety Department team reached the KFC outlet and started investigation there. According to food safety officer Sarvesh Kumar, the team has checked the quality of food items, cleanliness and other arrangements in the outlet. According to reports, samples of other food items including chicken have also been taken, which will be sent for testing.
The officer also said that efforts are being made to contact the customer who made the video. The department says that after the completion of the investigation, further action will be taken as per the rules.
