Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent Season 2 episode dropped on Sunday evening, and it was nothing short of a banger, with a rather entertaining panel. This week's panel included Rakhi Sawant, Ashneer Grover, Kushagra Srivastava, and Balraj Ghai, while Samay Raina returned as the host. Rakhi and Ashneer made candid comments and unpredictable appearances on the entertainment show.
Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent Season 2 episode drops a banger panel
During the episode, host Samay addressed several controversies surrounding Ashneer, including his much-talked-about confrontation with Bigg Boss host and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. As Samay introduced Ashneer, he joked, “Sehme se lag rahe ho yaar” (You look a little scared, buddy), before taking a dig at his Bigg Boss 18 confrontation with Salman. Ashneer revealed that trolls had predicted Salman would invite him to his farmhouse following their exchange, but that never happened.
Talking about Ashneer's seemingly nervous demeanor on India's Got Latent, Samay quipped, “Salman bhai ke saamne bhi aise the aap” (You were like this in front of Salman bhai too). He then added, “But on a serious note, Ashneer ji has created many unicorns, and Salman bhai has ridden his horse.” Ashneer was quick to respond to the jokes and said, “Troller bahut bole, 'Ab tu dekh, ab tereko Salman will call you his farmhouse.' Bulaya nahi yaar kabhi” (The trolls kept saying, 'Just wait and watch, Salman will invite you to his farmhouse.' He never invited me, buddy).
Samay continued taking jabs at Ashneer throughout the episode. During a question-and-answer round following a contestant’s performance, Samay asked Ashneer if he would invest in a robot. Ashneer explained why he would not, but Samay presented a counterpoint that made him reconsider his decision.
Taking another dig at Ashneer, Samay joked, “Agar itna dimaag hota inmein toh Bigg Boss mein nahi aate ye toh” (If he had so much brains, he wouldn't have gone on Bigg Boss). Ashneer had a quick comeback, replying, “Itna dimaag hota toh yahan bhi nahi aata” (If I had that much brains, I wouldn't have come here either).
Many moments in the episode saw Rakhi Sawant trolling Ashneer brutally.
The controversy between Ashneer Grover and Salman Khan dates back to Grover’s comments about BharatPe’s deal with Salman as the brand ambassador. In an earlier podcast, Grover spoke about negotiating Salman’s fee and their professional interaction.
When Grover appeared on Bigg Boss 18 in November 2024, Salman confronted him over the remarks, saying Grover had presented incorrect figures and made it seem as though the actor and his team had misled him. Salman also questioned Grover’s claim that they had personally met, saying, “I didn’t even know your name.”
Grover apologised during the episode but later accused Salman of creating “unnecessary drama” and said the episode had turned their interaction into a controversy.
Varun Dhawan and Medha Shankr are seen in the latest episode of India's Got Latent
The previous episode featured Varun Dhawan and Medha Shankr. The two appeared on a recent episode of India’s Got Latent alongside panellists Sharon Verma and Nishant Tanwar, with Samay Raina hosting.
Varun took all the jokes in stride and also reacted to his viral smile. The actor was teased by Samay time and again, with the comedian also making a nepotism remark about Varun.
Medha, who rose to wider recognition with 12th Fail, also appeared on the panel. Her appearance with Raina led to renewed online speculation about their relationship, although neither has publicly confirmed anything.
