Saif Ali Khan Career: Saif said, I am no longer 25 years old, know why he wants to do mature and story based films

New Delhi . These days, actor Saif Ali Khan is trying to move towards different types of characters in his career. In his upcoming film Haiwaan, he is playing the role of a blind man, who does not sit helplessly in front of the circumstances, but faces difficulties with the help of his understanding and abilities. A mixture of suspense, crime and action will be seen in the film.

According to Saif, a big reason for accepting this film was director Priyadarshan choosing him for this kind of story. The actor believes that at this stage of his career, he should be a part of such stories and roles which are appropriate to his current age and experience. He is now attracted towards films in which both the story and characters are more mature.

Saif indicated that he wants to work in films whose genre is serious and story-centric. Citing films like Drishyam as an example, he said that as he grows older, he finds such characters more suitable. He says that he is no longer 25 years old, so he wants to choose roles accordingly.

Saif's character in Haiwaan is not weak despite being blind. He is educated in music and violin and works as a music teacher. His father also taught him martial arts. Apart from this, his hearing ability has been shown to be much more than that of a normal person. These qualities make the character different in the story.

In the story, his character gets trapped in a murder case and uses his intelligence and abilities to get out of there. The special thing about this role for Saif was that despite the sympathetic side of the character, he was not presented as just a helpless person.

Akshay Kumar also plays an important role in the film. Both the actors have worked together before and will be seen together again after a long gap. This time the equation of their pair is different from the earlier films. Saif is playing the lead role in the film, while Akshay will be seen in a challenging character with a negative tone.

The story of Akshay's association with the film was also interesting. The search for an artist for the second role was going on, then Akshay himself expressed his desire to do this role. The negative nature of the character did not become a hindrance for him. Saif called it a special experience for him and said that a big actor accepting such a role is a positive thing for the film.

Saif also faced risk in an action scene during the shooting of the film. In one scene he had to be pushed against the glass by the policeman. Despite the prescribed precautions, the push was stronger than expected and the glass broke. Saif fell in front of him. He was not seriously injured, but had to rest for about two days due to the effects on his body.

Saif also talked about the increasing challenge of action sequences with age. According to him, a long career takes its toll on the body and it is not easy for artists to maintain the same physical fitness as before. Despite this, he loves action and tries to play it naturally in his roles.

  • Saif also has a positive outlook regarding the OTT experience. He believes that in the series the artiste gets an opportunity to spend more time with the character. Playing the same role for a long time gives a chance to understand his behavior and psychology better. Saif seems keen to explore different types of characters in films as well as on OTT in the future.
