Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the program of handing over 'President's Colours' to Goa Police at Syama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium. On this occasion he addressed a program. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that it is a matter of great pride for me to present the prestigious 'President's Colours' to the Goa Police, because today, with eight decades of glorious service and honour, the Goa Police is standing in line with the police across the country with the insignia given by the President. This is a matter of great pride for all of us.

He said that it is because of the glorious history, professional excellence, courage, discipline and dedication of the police of the states which have received this honour, that the President has honored Goa with 'President's Colours'. Goa is a small but very important state and Goa Police has received all three responsibilities of safe city, safe community and safe maritime borders with the creation of the state of Goa.

After the creation of the state of Goa, Goa Police has fulfilled its responsibilities well. It is the first condition of a developed nation that the security of the nation's internal and borders is ensured. Goa Police has the honor of protecting the interior and borders. The security of Goa's long maritime border is also on the shoulders of Goa Police.

Amit Shah said that on this occasion, I also want to remember the immortal martyrs, whose dedication towards the country has definitely helped in giving this glory to Goa Police. Today we are seeing that India's reach in the country's diplomatic issues is continuously increasing.

In the last one year, the diplomatic arena of the whole world has been in a lot of turmoil due to the war between Ukraine and Russia and the Gulf countries and Iran. In one year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited 22 countries and heads of state of about 15 countries visited India.

In a year when the whole world was in a dilemma regarding its economic growth due to turmoil, we maintained our economic growth through dialogue and strategic partnership. This is why our GDP growth in the first quarter of this year was recorded at a record high of 7.8 percent.

He said that whatever be the problem of the world, the whole world watches what is the view of the Prime Minister of India on this issue. After a long time, Prime Minister Modi has done the work of getting India this respect in the world.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has put before all of us the vision of making India developed in 2047. When developed India completes 100 years of independence, then India will be first in the entire world in every field. The concept of this type of developed India has been put forward by Prime Minister Modi. Today every citizen of the country feels that by 15 August 2047, we will indeed be the best nation in the world.
