Panchkula. Monsoon is slowly moving towards its departure in the country. But even while leaving, it is showing signs of rain in the states of India for the last time. After weak monsoon in the second half of September, now an active phase of rain will start again in these states of South, Central, East and Western India between September 12 and September 21. The effect of strong winds along with thunder and lightning can be seen at many places.
Rain alert in 21 states
The weather department has predicted increased rainfall activity over Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi from September 12, the department said, adding that an upper-air pressure area at 1.5 km above sea level lies over northern Haryana and adjoining areas.
Sporadic rain at some places in Himachal
There are chances of heavy rain at isolated places in Uttarakhand for five consecutive days from Wednesday. Isolated rain is expected in Himachal Pradesh from September 9 to 11, scattered rain on September 12 and widespread rain from September 13 to 15. According to the Meteorological Department, in the 'All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin' issued at 8.02 am on September 9, it has been said that there is a possibility of widespread rain with thunder and lightning in Uttarakhand from September 10 to 14 and in Himachal Pradesh on September 13 and 14.

The seven-day rainfall forecast suggests isolated rain over Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi from September 9 to 11, followed by isolated rain from September 12 to 15. There are chances of isolated rain in Punjab during the period of 9-15 September.
Heavy rain in many districts of UP due to western disturbance
A Western Disturbance is also seen as a low pressure area at 5.8 km above sea level over northwest Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas. An elongated area of low monsoon atmospheric pressure is moving south-eastwards up to north-eastern Bay of Bengal through Firozpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bareilly, Lucknow, Patna, Bankura and Digha.
Alert in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh
There are chances of isolated rain in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh during 9-11 September and scattered rain from 12 to 15 September. Another upper-air low pressure area persists over the North Andaman Sea and surrounding areas.
Rain forecast in Odisha-Bihar
According to the bulletin, under its influence, a low pressure area is expected to form over west-central and northwest Bay of Bengal along the north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts around September 11. In Eastern India, there are chances of isolated heavy rains in Bihar on 9th to 10th September, in Jharkhand on 9th to 11th September and in Odisha on 9th September and 11th to 12th September. There may be very heavy rain at isolated places in Odisha on September 10.
There will be rain in West Bengal and Sikkim
Heavy rain is also expected in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during September 11 to 13. In the Northeast, heavy rains are expected over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during September 9 to 12. There are chances of heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh on 9th and 11th September and again during 13-14th September, with very heavy rains at isolated places on 12th September.
Heavy rain in Chhattisgarh-Madhya Pradesh
For Central India, the Meteorological Department has predicted isolated heavy rain over Chhattisgarh from September 10 to 14, over East and Western Madhya Pradesh on September 12-13, and Vidarbha on September 12. In Western India, isolated heavy rains are expected over Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa on September 12-13 and Central Maharashtra on September 13.
Rain in Puducherry and Karaikal also
Rainy spells are also going to continue in some parts of South Peninsular India. Heavy rain is expected over Kerala and Mahe on 10-12 September, over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on 11-12 September, over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on 11-14 September and over Telangana on 11-13 September.
Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds of 40-50 kmph (gusting to 60 kmph) is also very likely over Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during 9-12 September.
This warning is issued for people
The special thing is that the department has warned that due to very heavy rains, waterlogging and floods in low-lying areas, incidents of landslides and mudslides at local level, damage to weak structures and crops and disruption of road and rail traffic can occur. People in the affected areas have been advised to keep an eye on the weather and not take shelter under trees during lightning.
