Hariram Bansal, the owner of the building that collapsed in Delhi's Satya Niketan, has been arrested. Delhi Police has caught him from Bhiwadi adjacent to Gurugram. The police will now bring him to Delhi. Earlier in the case Delhi The Municipal Corporation has also taken major action. MCD has suspended five officers including the Deputy Commissioner with immediate effect. Departmental action will be taken against the officers. The suspended officers include South Zone Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar, Building Department Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer and Superintending Engineer. This is being called the first major action of Delhi Municipal Corporation.

Seven people lost their lives
In fact, in the accident that happened a day earlier on Sunday, a 5-storey building had suddenly collapsed. The building was being used as a boys' PG. Many people were trapped under the debris due to the accident. As soon as the information was received, police, fire department and rescue teams reached the spot. He started the rescue operation. During the rescue, bodies of 7 people have been recovered so far. 12 people are also injured in the accident, out of which 5 people are seriously injured. He has been admitted to Delhi AIIMS.
Question on construction work in basement
According to initial information, questions are being raised regarding the ongoing construction or repair work in the basement of the building. Delhi CM took a big decision
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reached the spot this morning. He said that together with the officials, we are making such a policy under which buildings which are 20, 30 or 40 years old will have to submit structural audit report. They will have to provide proof of their security. CM said that without proof, people will not have the right to run any public service or facility (nursing home, PG accommodation or any other activity including school). Strict rules will be implemented in this regard.

The administration is still removing debris
The debris of the building that collapsed in Delhi on Sunday afternoon is still being removed. So far 6 people have died. At the same time, 12 people are injured, out of which 5 are seriously injured. These people are being treated in Delhi AIIMS. There is still a possibility of many people being buried. People are being searched with the help of rescue dogs and cameras. This building was not declared dangerous in the records of Delhi Municipal Corporation i.e. MCD.
