Big revelations in Delhi Red Fort blast charge sheet

There have been important revelations in the charge sheet in the Delhi Red Fort blast case. The NIA filed a chargesheet against 13 accused. The disclosures in the charge sheet revealed that Dr. Umar was the mastermind of the Lal Fort blast and blew himself up. The NIA’s chargesheet has revealed several important facts about the blasts. According to the investigating agency, the Hyundai i20 car used in the blast was actually a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED). This meant that the car was used as a bomb packed with explosives. Forensic investigations found traces of explosives such as TATP, ammonium nitrate and potassium nitrate in the wreckage of the car and materials recovered from the blast site.

According to the chargesheet, DNA testing of biological samples recovered from the crime scene yielded vital clues. Testing of body parts and nasal swabs revealed traces of TATP and ammonium nitrate. The NIA claims that DNA fingerprinting of these samples identified him as Umar Un Nabi. According to the investigating agency, this means that Umar Un Nabi was present inside the car at the time of the blast.
