– Verified e-content of various subjects of graduation level will be available on e-Gyan Setu – video lectures being prepared in 10 digital studios.
Bhopal. The Higher Education Department has taken important initiatives in the direction of making higher education more accessible, quality and technology based in Madhya Pradesh.
Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar on Wednesday launched the uploading and publishing work of e-content videos on e-GyanSetu YouTube channel in the ministry.
Through this, quality, authentic and verified digital study material of various subjects and courses at the graduation level will be available to the students.
On this occasion, Minister Parmar said that Madhya Pradesh is playing a leading role in the effective implementation of the National Education Policy-2020. Continuous efforts should be made to make the state a leader in the country in the field of digital education.
E-Gyan Setu is a powerful medium to deliver quality higher education to every student. Its objective is to provide reliable study material to the students as per their convenience.
Minister Parmar said that as per the National Education Policy-2020, it is necessary to connect students with Indian knowledge tradition, language and culture along with modern technology.
With this in mind, topics related to Indian knowledge tradition are being given place in e-content. Preparation of e-content in regional and regional languages including Sanskrit and Marathi will make studies more convenient and effective for students.
Minister Parmar said, “It is our endeavor that the students of Madhya Pradesh remain connected with modern knowledge and technology, as well as with their language, their culture and Indian knowledge tradition.” He instructed the Higher Education Department to prepare maximum quality content in regional and regional languages.
Students from remote areas will also benefit from digital education
Additional Chief Secretary Anupam Rajan said that digital medium is an effective means of widening the reach of education. Through e-GyanSetu, students will be able to view study material related to the course anywhere, anytime and as per their convenience and pace. This initiative will be especially useful for students from remote and deprived areas.
Rajan said that the objective of digital education is not just to make the content available online, but to deliver quality and authentic content to the students, hence special attention is being paid to the quality and authenticity of e-content.
He directed to prepare quality study material and speed up the verification process while ensuring maximum utilization of the digital studio.
Higher Education Commissioner Prabal Sipaha threw detailed light on the concept of e-Gyan Setu and the program was conducted by Prof. Sneha Khare did it. During the program, there was virtual participation of professors and students from various colleges of the state.
Video lectures being prepared in 10 digital studios
In accordance with the spirit of the National Education Policy-2020, 10 digital studios have been established in the divisional headquarters of the state. In these, professors, associate professors, assistant professors, guest scholars and public participation teachers of government colleges and universities are preparing video lectures as subject experts.
More than 2 thousand videos have been recorded so far. The videos are being tested by a validation board constituted of subject experts to ensure their content, curriculum compatibility, educational quality and factual accuracy. After verification, the videos will be made available on e-GyanSetu YouTube Channel in a phased manner.
E-content is being prepared for various subjects including Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Home Science, Humanities and Social Sciences. Graphics and digital visuals are also being used as per requirement to explain the concepts easily to the students.
