Pakuria, Pakur, Jharkhand:- Under the Prime Minister's Safe Motherhood Campaign, Dr. Ayush Azad examined the health of 110 pregnant women who had come with health companions from various remote rural areas of the block on September 9 at the block headquarters Pakuria.
On this occasion, Niyog Prasad, Atal Prasad, Shailendra Soren, Alkhaniranjan, Rajkumar, Yogesh Prasad, Prabhat Das, nurses and medical staff of the health center cooperated. Sahiyas also played a commendable role in bringing pregnant women to the center for health checkup.
During the test, blood pressure, blood, weight and iron were checked. After this the doctor also gave necessary medicines. After health checkup, pregnant women were advised not to do heavy household work and to do light work to maintain physical vigor.
On this occasion, Dr. Azad advised pregnant women to include seasonal fruits and green vegetables in their diet. According to the information received, regular health checkup of pregnant women helps in timely identification of health related problems and facilitates safe delivery.
According to health sources, health awareness has increased among pregnant women these days. She is reaching the center with her companions on the scheduled date for health test. It was told that pregnant women, who due to some reason could not reach the health center on the 9th, can come to the center in the last week of the month and get their health checkup done.
