Technology Desk: Redmi has launched its new 5G smartphone Redmi 17 5G in India. The sale of the phone is starting from today i.e. 10th September. The company has introduced it in the mid-range segment. The phone has features like large display, powerful battery and Snapdragon processor.
Redmi 17 5G price
The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model of Redmi 17 5G is priced at ₹23,999. Whereas, the price of 8GB RAM model has been kept at ₹ 26,999.
The sale of the phone will start on Amazon India, Xiaomi's website and select retail stores. This phone will be available in Black, Blue and Orange colors. Vegan leather finish has been given on its back side.
Features of Redmi 17 5G
The phone has a 6.9 inch LCD display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate. Its peak brightness is up to 825 nits. The phone has also received TÜV Rhineland certification for eye protection.
For performance, it has a 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor. Its clock speed is up to 2.4GHz. The phone has LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Storage can be expanded up to 2TB with the help of microSD card. The phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.
Camera and Dynamic RGB lights
For photography, a 50MP primary camera is provided at the back of the phone. It has an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Both cameras can record 1080p video at 30fps.
Dynamic RGB light is also provided at the back of the phone. It can be customized for notifications, charging status and camera alerts.
7,900mAh large battery
The biggest feature of Redmi 17 5G is its 7,900mAh battery. According to the company, the phone has support for 45W Turbo Charging. Apart from this, it also supports Wired Reverse Charging up to 22.5W.
The company claims that the phone can play music for 109 hours, video for 28 hours and calling for 53 hours.
