Shefali scored 64 runs in 40 balls and her strike rate was 160. Apart from them, Pratika Rawal contributed 20, Richa Ghosh contributed 21 runs and captain Harmanpreet Kaur contributed 24 unbeaten runs. With the help of these innings, India was successful in reaching 149 runs in 20 overs.
Bangladesh helpless in front of India’s bowling
Chasing the target of 149 runs, Bangladesh had a weak start compared to India. Indian bowlers maintained pressure on the opposition team by taking wickets at regular intervals.
Deepti Sharma was India’s most successful bowler. He took three wickets for 26 runs. The spinners took great advantage of the slow pitch of Dubai and did not give Bangladeshi batsmen a chance to play shots freely.
