Shefali Verma's storm in Women's Asia Cup semi-finals, Bangladesh got the target of 150 runs

Delhi: In the first semi-final of the Women's Asia Cup 2026 being played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Indian women's team, after losing the toss and batting first, scored 149 runs by losing 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For India, opening batsman Shefali Verma took full advantage of the two lives she got in the beginning and scored a brilliant half-century while batting brilliantly.

During this innings, Shefali also made a big record in her name. Shefali Verma has become the highest run-scorer Indian player in the Women's Asia Cup. He has left Smriti Mandhana behind.

Bangladesh bowled well in the middle and death overs.

After Shefali's dismissal, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh took the innings forward. Richa scored 21 runs in 16 balls with the help of 2 sixes, while Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten till the end by scoring 24 runs in 28 balls.

In the last overs, Deepti Sharma helped the team reach a respectable score of 149 by playing a blazing inning of 13 runs with the help of 1 four and 1 six in just 6 balls.

Sultana Khatun was the most successful bowler from Bangladesh, who took 2 wickets for 30 runs in 3 overs. Apart from them, Marufa Akhtar, Nahida Akhtar and Rabeya Khan got 1 success each.
