New Delhi. A journalist questioned SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on the issue of expulsion of Akash Anand from Bahujan Samaj Party. On this, Akhilesh Yadav said, this is his party's own decision, people from other parties cannot have any say in it. Then the journalist asked that if Akash wants to join SP, will he join? So the SP chief told the journalist that if you bring it, we will take it. Said in front of everyone, it is their wish, bring this. BSP supremo Mayawati ordered the expulsion of Akash Anand from the party this morning itself. Just a few days ago, on September 3, Mayawati had removed Akash from the post of party co-ordinator. Just a day before on Wednesday, Mayawati had said that if Akash Anand's father-in-law Ashok Siddharth, who is a former BSP MP, completely retires from politics, then Akash can get his responsibilities back. After this, Ashok Siddharth announced his retirement from politics this morning. Mayawati said that the announcement of Ashok Siddharth's retirement from politics is a very late and right step. If he had taken this decision much earlier, Akash Anand would not have had to face continuous adverse situations and I would not have had to take tough decisions.
However, along with this Mayawati announced the expulsion of Akash Anand from the party. Mayawati said that Akash Anand is less concerned about the real interests of the party and the movement and his career related to it and is more interested in relationships etc. In such a situation, it is natural to raise the question that how can he do good to the BSP party and the movement by being double minded?
