Team India's fast bowler Harshit Rana has been ruled out of the T20 series and Asian Games against Afghanistan starting from September 13. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Thursday (September 10) that Harshit was making good progress during his rehab at the Center of Excellence (CoE) but he suffered a 'rectus femoris' strain while bowling during a match simulation on September 7, forcing him to be ruled out of the Afghanistan series and the Asiad.
BCCI has also announced the replacement of Harshit. In his place, Vidarbha fast bowler Yash Thukar has been included in Team India. 27-year-old Yash Thakur made his T20 International debut for Team India on the Zimbabwe tour in July this year.
