Heavy rain alert in 18 states including Delhi, IMD issues warning

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of strong winds and thunderstorms along with heavy rain in 18 states of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain in many areas in the next few hours after cloud cover. In some states the wind speed is likely to reach 60 kilometers per hour. In such a situation, people have been advised to check the latest weather updates before leaving home. Bad weather can also affect agriculture.

The Meteorological Department has warned of rain in many states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Chhattisgarh and Arunachal Pradesh. The intensity of rain and wind speed may be different in different areas.

There is a possibility of light rain in many areas in Delhi on September 11. There may be rain in the surrounding areas including Najafgarh, Lodhi Road, Palam and Safdarjung. There may be heavy rain in Ghaziabad, Noida, Lucknow, Agra, Ayodhya, Baghpat, Ballia, Barabanki, Bhadohi, Bulandshahr, Chitrakoot, Gorakhpur, Hardoi, Kanpur and Jhansi of Uttar Pradesh. At some places the wind can blow at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The temperature in Lucknow is expected to be 32 degrees maximum and 27 degrees minimum.

There are chances of rain in Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Buxar, East Champaran, Hajipur, Khagaria, Motihari, Nawada, Rajgir, Sasaram, Sitamarhi and Patna of Bihar. During this time, wind can blow at a speed of 30 to 35 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Patna can be 33 degrees and minimum 26 degrees Celsius.

Rain and strong winds in Madhya Pradesh

There is a rain alert in Alirajpur, Ashta, Baikunthpur, Bareilly, Betul, Bhopal, Chhindwara, Damoh, Guna, Harda, Indore, Jabalpur, Jhabua, Katangi and Khandwa of Madhya Pradesh. Here winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 45 kilometers per hour. The temperature in Bhopal can be 31 and 24 degrees Celsius.

Warning of torrential rain in Rajasthan

There is an alert of heavy rain in Rajasthan’s Ajmer, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Bundi, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jodhpur, Kota, Mount Abu, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sriganganagar and Udaipur. During this period, winds can blow at a speed of about 35 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Jaipur is expected to be 34 degrees and minimum 25 degrees Celsius.
