Phu Quoc, voted Asia’s most beautiful island by Condé Nast Traveler readers, was one of five Vietnamese destinations with the highest number of return visitors in the first half of this year, travel platform Agoda reported.
Other destinations were Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and Hanoi, based on the platform’s January-June booking data.
According to Agoda, Phu Quoc’s 30-day visa-free policy, modern infrastructure and diverse entertainment options are attracting tourists to return to the island.

For the first eight months, total international visitors to the island reached 1.7 million, up 58% year-on-year.
The arrivals helped generate VND41.7 trillion (US$1.59 billion) in tourism revenue in the first eight months of this year, up 47.5% year-on-year.
Phu Quoc eyes 8.5 million tourists including 2 million foreigners by the end of this year.
To attract returning visitors, authorities in Vietnam’s largest island are focusing on enhancing the quality of the experience, managing service prices, and protecting the natural landscape.
