Pratapgarh. On the call of United Forum of Bank Unions, a vigorous strike was conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank employees regarding five-day working day, equal PLI payment and other pending and justified demands. In this sequence, all the officers and employees of Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank enthusiastically participated in the strike. There was a complete lockout in the branches of Pratapgarh area due to the strike on Friday. Officers and employees of the area branches participated enthusiastically in the said strike and organized loud slogans, demonstrations and meetings in front of the regional office in support of their just demands.
On this occasion, Regional President of Officers Association, Anurag Vishwakarma said that the strike has been completely successful. Bank officers and employees have shown their unity and organizational strength and have given a clear message to the government that neglect of our just demands will no longer be accepted.
He further said that if the government does not take a quick and positive decision on our demands, then the movement will be further broadened and intensified. In the upcoming phase of the movement, there will be a three-day nationwide strike from 28th September to 30th September and after this it has been decided to go on an indefinite strike from 26th October.
The meeting was addressed by Mohit Shukla, Anand Keshari, Rajkamal Tripathi, Rashmi Akash Srivastava, Arun Srivastava, Sandeep Tiwari, Atul Singh, MK Singh, DP Singh, SN Mishra, VP Tripathi, Bhupendra Singh, Dilip Kumar and other organization officials. Hundreds of officers and employees including Shailendra Kumar Singh, Mithlesh Kumar, Ashok Singh, Neeraj Kumar, Akhilesh Pratap Singh, BP Singh, SN Mishra participated enthusiastically in the meeting and demonstration.
