Pressure on today's artists
Actress Preity Zinta recently said that present-day artistes face more pressure than before. Due to the growing paparazzi culture and social media activism, they face constant public scrutiny, which was not the case for earlier artists.
Promotion of film 'Vibe'
Zinta, who decided to settle in the US after her marriage in 2016, is now back in Mumbai to promote her new spy comedy 'Vibe'. She will be seen with Kunal Khemu in this film.
Preity Zinta is playing a unique role of Detective Madam H in the film 'Vibe'. The film will hit the theaters a few weeks after the release of 'Bantwara 1947', based on her split with Sunny Deol. Zinta plays the role of a spy who trains two clumsy friends for an important secret mission in the film.
Zinta's opinion on cultural change
When Preity Zinta was asked what was the biggest cultural change she felt after returning to films, she said that acting now involves not only working on a film set but also dealing with things outside it.
Zinta said in an interview, “The biggest cultural change for me is not related to films, but the things around films. Like, the interference of paparazzi and social media. Earlier, we just had to go on the set and act. Now, it is also important how you dress, how you dress at the airport. If you are sad, you have to look fashionably sad and if you are happy, you have to look fashionably happy.”
film production
Kunal Khemu and Chirag Nihalani have produced the film under their production banner Drongo Films, in association with Amazon MGM Studios. 'Vibe' is scheduled to release in theaters on September 18. Sparsh Srivastava and Vanshika Dhir are also acting along with Kunal Khemu in this film.
