At the 18th BRICS summit that began in Delhi on Saturday, the Ministry of External Affairs presented a media kit for journalists, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative of 'Vocal for Local' to 'Local to Global'.
The kit comes with a tote bag bearing the BRICS India 2026 logo and infused with the aroma of 100% Arabica coffee from Koraput, Odisha. It also includes a high quality mesh flask in a beautiful seal proof packet and a stunning mug symbolizing 'Make in India'.
The bag also contains a packet of sattu, which is part of the traditional diet of eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and is made from various grains. The Prime Minister had made special mention of Koraput's coffee in his radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' last year.
He called it the 'pride of Odisha' and praised its fragrance. The Prime Minister had said that if its business grows, it will benefit the coffee farmers and women of Koraput. Apart from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Indonesia, Iran, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia are also included in this conference.
Flags of all member countries have been installed in the media room, where journalists are taking selfies to capture the memories of the conference.
