New Delhi. A bilateral meeting was held between PM Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday evening. In this meeting, PM Modi stressed on peace on the border and not turning differences into disputes. At the same time, the Chinese President stressed on looking at bilateral relations from a strategic and long-term perspective. PM Modi and Xi Jinping expressed their views openly. Both agreed that India and China should become each other's allies and partners. Both the leaders talked about maintaining peace and stability on the border. Xi Jinping said that the list of areas of cooperation between India and China has increased. Business between the two has reached record levels. Jinping said that India and China have achieved with great difficulty. It should be preserved.

According to reports, the Chinese President put forward four points to ensure stable and long-term development of relations with India. He said that both the countries should have objective and rational understanding. India-China are not rivals but partners. They create opportunities, not threats, for each other's development. This strategic decision serves the common interests of both the countries and people. Xi Jinping said in the second point that mutual contact and direct air service between the people of India and China should be expanded. In the third point, he emphasized on removing obstacles through mutual respect and political understanding. Whereas, the fourth point talked about benefiting the world through inclusive multilateral cooperation, supporting each other's BRICS chairmanship and protecting international fairness and justice.

In the meeting with PM Modi, Jinping said that his country has always viewed and developed India-China relations from a strategic and long-term perspective. Xi Jinping said that he met PM Modi twice in the last two years and the talks have taken India-China relations from a new beginning to a new height. The Chinese President said that the circumstances of the two countries are completely different. Despite this, India and China can complement each other's strengths. He also stressed on development together and supporting each other. Jinping said that institutional exchanges between the two countries have gradually started again. Xi Jinping said that India and China are the two most populous countries in the changing and turbulent situation of the world. They hold important responsibilities as key members of the Global South.
