CM Rekha Gupta Big Gift for Delhi Construction Workers: CM Rekha Gupta has given a big gift to the construction workers of Delhi. Now construction workers will be able to get cashless treatment up to ₹ 10 lakh. This decision of Delhi CM Rekha Gupta will benefit more than 2.70 lakh construction workers and their families registered in Delhi. In this, each beneficiary will get treatment up to Rs 2 lakh and the entire family will get treatment up to a maximum of Rs 10 lakh in the listed hospitals.
Delhi LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Saturday approved the Delhi Building Construction Workers Health Scheme. Under this, beneficiaries will get cashless OPD, medicines, tests and hospitalization treatment at CGHS rates.

This scheme was earlier approved by the Delhi Cabinet. Under this scheme, every registered construction worker will get treatment up to Rs 2 lakh while the limit for the treatment of the entire family will be Rs 10 lakh every year. The registered construction worker and his/her spouse will get free medical consultation, tests, medicines and hospitalization treatment through the network of hospitals working at CGHS rates along with annual health check-up.
A digital system will be created
In case of accident or emergency at work place, the beneficiary will also be able to get treatment in the nearest non-listed hospital. Such hospital will be considered as temporarily empaneled for a limited period of treatment. Mobile medical units will also be deployed under the scheme. These units will help in transporting workers from construction sites to hospitals, conduct their health check-ups and provide them information about the scheme. Along with this, a digital system will also be created to handle the complete records of the workers, information about their treatment and payment of money.
These diseases will be treated, facility will be provided to more than 2.70 lakh people
This scheme will cover emergency treatment, work related diseases, chronic diseases, special treatment, health care of mother and child. Every beneficiary will also get a health check-up voucher of Rs 1,000 every year. This scheme will be operated by an experienced agency for 3 years. This agency will create mobile medical units and digital records. 'Building Workers Health Committee' will also be formed for monitoring. Overall, more than 2.70 lakh construction workers and their families of Delhi will get the facility of cashless treatment.
