New Delhi, 13 September 2026: India's proposal regarding the formation of 'Sports Technology Working Group' to increase cooperation among the member countries and organizing a conference on the production of sports equipment has been included in the 'BRICS New Delhi Declaration'.
This declaration describes sports as a means of social development. He recognizes the growing role of technology in promoting excellence, player welfare, governance and inclusivity in sport. The 'New Delhi Declaration' encouraged discussions to form a working group on technology in the sports sector. It also laid emphasis on strengthening mutual contacts between people and promoting a healthy and active society.
During the meeting of Sports Ministers of BRICS countries held in Visakhapatnam last month, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had proposed to form a working group on sports technology and organize a conference on the production of sports equipment to increase cooperation among the member countries.
