SA VS AUS: South Africa’s problems have increased before the start of the ODI series against Australia. Fast bowler Otaniel Bartman is out of the entire series due to injury. He has suffered an injury to his left hamstring. Cricket South Africa has included Duane Jensen in his place in the team.
Bartman suffered this injury in the opening match of the domestic first-class season. He was playing for the Dolphins against the Titans. Bartman bowled only five overs in the match and then left the field. He did not bat in the second innings for the Dolphins. Now a medical examination will be conducted to find out how serious his injury is and what is the time of his return.

After Bartman’s exclusion, Duane Jensen has been included in the ODI squad against Australia. Jensen was currently in Namibia with the second team of South Africa. He recently performed well in the T20 tri-series against Namibia and Zimbabwe. After this, he has impressed with his bowling in the ongoing ODI series also.
Rabada already out
South Africa’s troubles do not end here. Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is also out of the ODI series against Australia due to hamstring problem. Bartman’s absence has further affected the team’s fast bowling. With Duane Jensen joining the team, South Africa has another bowling option.
ODI series will start from 24th September
The three-match ODI series between South Africa and Australia will start from September 24. The first match will be played in Durban, followed by the second match in Johannesburg on 27 September and the third match in Potchefstroom on 30 September. This series is also considered important for the preparation of 2027 ODI World Cup.
