Big news related to India-China border is coming out. According to the Defense Ministry’s 2025-26 annual report, 2025 has seen a reduction in the deployment of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) along the northern border. According to the report, China has reduced its military presence along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and now has around 10 combined arms brigades of security forces deployed along the northern border and in traditional training areas.
The situation on the northern border became more stable.
According to the Ministry of Defense report, India’s army deployment in all LAC sectors is getting stronger. Indian Army is fully prepared and well positioned to meet any future challenge. Positive political, diplomatic and military level interactions between India and China have further stabilized the situation along the northern border, the report said.
Military dialogue resumed with China
According to reports, talks between India and China have resumed at the military level. This includes the 23rd Corps Commander level meeting held in Eastern Ladakh in October 2025. Efforts are underway between the two countries to resolve issues related to the border and reduce tensions through military talks. Apart from this Border Personal Meeting i.e. BPM with PLA is also going on in the sector. The atmosphere in the meeting was amicable and work is underway to resolve the issues raised by both sides.
Army capability reviewed after Operation Sindoor…
Mutual coordination and joint operational system between the three services (Army, Air Force and Navy) has been further strengthened. Emphasis has been placed on enhancing drone technology, missile systems and electronic warfare capabilities in view of the changing security environment. The intelligence network has been improved. In this operation, the S-400 air defense system proved to be very effective in destroying enemy aircraft at long range. After Operation Sindoor, a review of the military capabilities was undertaken to identify deficiencies and eliminate them.
