Veteran filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, who has introduced supernatural powers and horror genre in Indian cinema on a grand scale, is once again going to create a new scene of fear on the silver screen with his most prestigious franchise. After 'Haunted 3D – Echoes of the Past', Vikram Bhatt's entire focus has shifted to his next ambitious supernatural thriller '1920: Cold Winter'. It had already been announced that Bollywood's Anna i.e. Sunil Shetty's talented son Ahan Shetty would be finalized as the lead actor in this film, after which there was speculation among cinema lovers and trade pundits about its lead actress. Now big official information has come out from the film corridors about the lead heroine of this much awaited project, which has created a new stir in the industry.
According to Bollywood Insider reports, Vikram Bhatt has signed talented actress Anya Singh for the lead role of '1920: Cold Winter' after a long search and several screen tests. Anya Singh has recently received a lot of praise from critics and audiences for her strong and serious performance in Aryan Khan's much talked about directorial debut show 'The Bads of Bollywood'. Interestingly, the on-screen pair of Ahan Shetty and Anya Singh will be seen in front of the audience for the second time through '1920: Cold Winter'. Earlier, both the actors had shared screen space together in the patriotic mega-budget war drama film 'Border 2', released on January 26 this year, where Anya touched the hearts of the audience by playing the emotional role of Ahaan's character's life partner. Now it will be very exciting to see the chemistry of both in a completely new and scary style in this horror-thriller genre.
