‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’: Gaurav Khanna Breaks Down In Tears, Quits Show To Save Ruhaanika Dhawan

Mumbai: Gaurav Khanna’s second innings on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’ has come to an emotional end.

After making a wild-card comeback, the actor won the elimination stunt but voluntarily gave up his spot on the show to save Ruhaanika Dhawan from elimination.

This week’s elimination stunt required the contestants to climb onto a platform suspended in the air and remove the flags attached to it. Gaurav successfully pulled out two flags, while Rubina Dilaik managed to collect one. Ruhaanika, however, slipped and fell from the platform, following which the stunt was halted.

Although Gaurav emerged victorious in the stunt, he surprised everyone by choosing to leave Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, thereby saving Ruhaanika from elimination.

Gaurav told host Rohit Shetty, “Even though I have won the task, I want to take an exit from the show because it’s taking a toll on my health. I don’t want to upset you like this more in upcoming tasks because the standard of stunts in shows is on next level. If I am not 100%, I don’t want to take any other person’s place who is physically fit.”

The actor became emotional and broke down in tears as he apologised to his fellow contestants and Rohit Shetty for his decision. He then hugged Rohit and touched his feet before bidding farewell to the show.

Ruhaanika also tried to convince Gaurav to stay, but he stood by his decision. The actor explained that his elbow injury would prevent him from giving his 100% to the challenges ahead.

Gaurav’s emotional departure from the show left fans heartbroken, with many praising him for his decision.

One fan commented, “GK, you are a pure-hearted person; you already won hearts.”

Another wrote, “As an audience, we can clearly see his sadness and stress.”

A third fan said, “You are a winner. You are the most genuine and kind-hearted person.”

This season of Khatron Ke Khiladi followed the theme ‘Old vs New: Darr Ka Naya Daur’, bringing together returning faces and new contestants. The show initially featured Old vs New team-based tasks before the teams were dissolved and the contestants began competing individually for a place in the finale.

The finale episode was reportedly shot on September 13, with fans now speculating that Avinash Mishra or Farrhana Bhatt could emerge as the winner.
