Google DeepMind security researcher Bilal Chughtai quit his job expressing such fears. Earlier, Josh Engels quit his job expressing similar fears. They claim that the situation is getting worse.

While at Google, I saw the development process of artificial intelligence or AI very closely. I am also very concerned about the current progress of this technology. I strongly believe that we are all at risk of extinction due to AI. We may have little time left to avert this fate.'
