Samajwadi Party national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav met various delegations at the party headquarters on Tuesday and while addressing the workers made sharp political attacks on the BJP government. During this period, about three dozen prominent people of Ayodhya took membership of Samajwadi Party. At the same time, allopathic pharmacist candidates and competitive students submitted a memorandum to Akhilesh Yadav regarding their various demands. On the occasion of Indian Engineer's Day, a delegation of engineers also met the SP President and congratulated him.
Prominent people of Ayodhya accepted membership of SP
Courtesy of former minister Tej Narayan Pandey 'Pawan Pandey', under the leadership of Managing Director of Ashfaq Ullah Khan Memorial Martyr Research Institute, Ayodhya and former Assembly candidate Suryakant Pandey, about three dozen prominent people of Ayodhya took membership of Samajwadi Party. Akhilesh Yadav welcomed the new members and said that their joining the party will strengthen the organization.
He said that the hopes of Samajwadi Party's victory in the upcoming elections on all the five assembly seats of Ayodhya have increased. He also assured the new colleagues of giving full respect in the party.
Akhilesh Yadav said that if Samajwadi Party government is formed in 2027, efforts will be made to develop Ayodhya as a world class city. He said that a large number of people from all over the country and the world come to Ayodhya with devotion, hence special care will be taken of the facilities of the devotees coming there. He said that during the Samajwadi government, a bhajan place was constructed for the devotees.
Suryakant Pandey, who joined SP, expressed his faith in Akhilesh Yadav and mentioned the ideology of Kabir, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Periyar, Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Birsa Munda, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, Chandrashekhar Azad, Manto and the Constitution. During this, the people who came from Ayodhya expressed their resolve to make Akhilesh Yadav the Chief Minister in 2027.
Pharmacist candidates raised demand to increase the vacant post
Allopathic Pharmacist candidates also met Akhilesh Yadav and submitted a memorandum to him. The candidates said that after a long gap of about 17 years, the recruitment process for their posts has started, but recruitment has been done for only 564 posts. He also demanded to include more than 200 currently vacant posts in the Health Department in this recruitment process.
The candidates who arrived with Atul Kumar Gupta said that by including the vacant posts in the recruitment, a large number of qualified youth will get employment opportunities and their future will be secure.
Akhilesh Yadav told the candidates that he has no expectations from the BJP government. He said that after the change of government, the Samajwadi Party government will try to fulfill these demands.
Competitive students demanded waiting list
A delegation of competing students and candidates also met Akhilesh Yadav demanding implementation of waiting list in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) based recruitments of UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission. The delegation submitted a memorandum saying that after selection in various recruitments, many candidates do not take charge of the concerned post due to other examinations or getting selected in better posts. Due to this, many posts remain vacant, while the eligible candidates keep waiting for selection.
The candidates demanded that a clear provision for a transparent waiting list should be made in all PET based recruitments. He said that the waiting list should be kept valid for one to two years and the process of document verification and post allotment should be completely transparent, so that the posts remaining vacant after selection can be filled with other qualified candidates.
Removing BJP from power is in the interest of democracy: Akhilesh
Addressing the workers at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Auditorium located at the party's state headquarters, Akhilesh Yadav said that for the future of the state and the prosperity of the coming generation, it is necessary to remove BJP from power in 2027. He raised questions on the administrative system of the state and made serious allegations of corruption against the BJP government.
He said that Samajwadi Party is determined to remove the BJP government from Uttar Pradesh by uniting the PDA. Akhilesh claimed that the BJP government could not implement any new important scheme during its tenure and was carrying forward only the schemes started during the Samajwadi government.
Referring to the Japanese delegation that recently visited Lucknow, he said that it was informed about the 1090 service started during the Samajwadi government for women's safety. He claimed that the BJP government has only the work done during the Samajwadi government to show.
Attack on government regarding women safety and employment
Akhilesh Yadav alleged that BJP is trying to divide the society through politics of hatred. He targeted the government over crime against women, alleged fake encounters and deaths in police custody in the state. His allegation was that women and girls are unsafe in the state and the youth are not getting adequate employment.
He said that the youth are troubled due to unemployment. People are not getting timely treatment and pure drinking water and the condition of schools is also worrying. He also raised the issue of alleged discrimination and atrocities against the PDA community.
The SP President said that the BJP government is doing politics of dividing the society and spreading hatred to remain in power. He claimed that BJP will be wiped out in the 2027 assembly elections and Samajwadi Party will form the government with the support of PDA.
Engineers congratulated on Indian Engineer's Day
On the occasion of Indian Engineer's Day, a delegation of engineers also met Akhilesh Yadav at the Samajwadi Party office. Engineers congratulated him on Engineer's Day. The delegation included Engineer Arvind Yadav, Engineer Tej Shankar Awasthi, retired shift in-charge, HAL, Engineer Madhur Yadav, Engineer Vinay Yadav, Engineer Himanshu Dwivedi, Dinesh Gautam, Avanendra Yadav and Engineer Sultan.
While wishing Engineer's Day, Akhilesh Yadav said that engineers are the backbone of modern civilization. Engineers have an important role in nation building, technological development and human welfare. He also remembered the contribution of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, in whose honor Indian Engineers Day is celebrated.
During this period, political and organizational activities became intense with the arrival of different delegations at the party office. On the one hand, the SP leadership emphasized on strengthening the organization, while on the other hand it also raised issues related to youth, candidates and professional class politically.
