BILD reports that Germany coach Jürgen Klopp plans to call up Felix Keidel for the upcoming UEFA Nations League games. The Elversberg all-rounder scored a sensational free-kick in the 4-3 comeback win away at struggling Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The debutants started their campaign with back-to-back wins before a narrow defeat to FC Bayern. Keidel, who played as both right-back and left-back in the promotion season, started all three games as a defensive midfielder.
Before joining Elversberg last summer, Keidel played two and a half seasons in 3. Liga with Ingolstadt. The 23-year-old has never represented Germany in any age group. Klopp is likely to call up to 40 players for the games against the Netherlands, Greece (home and away) and Serbia.
