SOG and Robertsganj police station have achieved significant success in the campaign being run by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma for crime prevention and arrest of wanted/rewarded accused in the district.
FIR No. 09/2026 Section 8/21/29 NDPS Act was registered at Robertsganj police station. In the said case, Manzoor son of Karimullah, resident of Urmaura, police station Robertsganj, district Sonbhadra* was wanted. The accused was continuously absconding since the case was registered.
Police were continuously raiding possible places to arrest the accused. A reward of Rs 25,000/- was announced by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra on 07.09.2026 for the arrest of the accused. In continuation of the continuous efforts being made by the police team, on 15.09.2026 at 17.45 hrs, the joint team of SOG and Robertsganj police station from Bahadurpur Chandauli arrested accused Manzoor, wanted with a reward of Rs 25,000/-. Necessary legal proceedings are underway against the arrested accused. A total of 24 cases have been previously registered against the arrested accused.
