Shribhoomi: A delegation met Chetan Kumar Srivastava, General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway, along with MP Kripanath Malah, demanding construction of railway level crossing/RUB on Ratabari-Paldahar PWD route in Shribhoomi district. The delegation apprised the railway officials about the traffic related problems of thousands of people of the area and the problems faced in the movement of students, patients and ambulances.
On the matter, GM instructed DRM of Lumding division Sameer Lohani for necessary investigation. DRM assured to send an expert team soon to inspect the spot and assess the feasibility of RUB construction. Further action will be taken based on the report of the expert team. Local people have described this initiative as an important step towards resolving their long pending demand.
