Kushinagar. Preparations are on to start educational activities from the month of September in the Mahatma Buddha Agriculture and Technology University, Kushinagar, under construction near Ramabhar Stupa. On Wednesday evening, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi inspected the university campus and took stock of the progress of the buildings and other facilities under construction. He directed the concerned officers and representatives of the executing organization to expedite the remaining works and complete them within the stipulated time frame.
The Agriculture Minister said that the counseling process is going on for admission in the university. Till now 48 students have opted for Mahatma Buddha University of Agriculture and Technology, Kushinagar. Preparations are on to start classes for students this month. In view of this, it has been asked to prepare the necessary basic facilities for conducting educational activities on priority basis.
During the inspection, the Minister did on-site inspection of the classrooms, library, mess and other facilities under construction. He took information from the project manager about the current status of the construction works and the completed works. Instructions were given to speed up the work by deploying additional manpower as per requirement and to ensure effective utilization of available resources. He also warned of taking action as per rules against the concerned executing agency if the work is not completed within the time limit.
The Agriculture Minister said that the university is being constructed on a site where earlier there was an area of ponds and ponds. Despite this, the construction work is being carried forward in the prescribed direction. He clarified that before the start of classes, educational, residential, food and other basic facilities should be ensured for the students, so that they do not face any kind of inconvenience. After this, the Agriculture Minister also inspected the hostel under construction. He took information about the rooms, residential facilities, food arrangements and other preparations and gave instructions to complete the remaining works on priority basis.
During this, District Magistrate Mahendra Singh Tanwar, Joint Magistrate G. Akshay Deepak, Director Administration and Training Dr. Sushant Srivastava, Tehsildar Dharamveer Singh, Naib Tehsildar Rahul Kumar and concerned officers and representatives of the implementing organization were present.
