On the cusp of the festive season, LPG prices always remain the most sensitive topic to manage the household budget. Major oil marketing companies like Indian Oil (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) have today updated the official rates of LPG cylinders for September 17. It is a matter of relief for the common consumers that the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder have remained stable.
However, due to VAT imposed at the state level and transportation/Freight Charges from the depot to the dealer, there is a slight difference in the retail price of the cylinder in different states and cities.
Today the prices of domestic LPG cylinders in the four major metros of the country have been recorded as follows:

For restaurants, hotels, dhabas and commercial consumers doing catering business, the price of 19 kg blue cylinder is revised on the 1st of the month based on the international gas benchmark. In Delhi, 19 kg commercial cylinder remains at the level of around ₹ 2,747.50. The stability of commercial cylinder prices has not put additional pressure on eating out and catering costs.
