The dead body of 24-year-old youth Sunny Yadav was found in Kuwa near the bus stand under Sadar police station area of Chatra district. Family members allege that his friends murdered him in a conspiracy and threw his body in the well. Police have seized the dead body and sent it to Chatra Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The investigation of the matter is going on and further action will be taken on the basis of postmortem report and written application given by the family.
The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Sunny Yadav. He was a resident of ward number 22 of Kishanpur Mohalla of Chatra city. Apart from his parents, he has two sisters in his family.
According to family members, Sunny had left the house on Wednesday afternoon. While leaving home, he had told his family that he would return soon. However, he did not return home after that. At around 8 pm the family members called his mobile, but could not be contacted.
After the night passed, on Thursday morning the villagers informed the family that Sunny's dead body was lying in a well. As soon as the information was received, the family members reached the spot. The news of the dead body being found in the well spread quickly in the surrounding area and a crowd of people gathered at the spot.
After Sunny suddenly went missing, many questions were raised against the family members regarding his death after his dead body was found.
The family members are refusing to consider this incident as a normal accident. They have expressed suspicion of murder on Sunny's friends and have alleged that the young man was murdered during the night and after that the dead body was thrown in the well.
However, the murder charge has not been confirmed before the police investigation is completed and the postmortem report comes. Police are now investigating how Sunny reached the well and the circumstances under which he died.
After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took out the dead body from the well. Police have completed the necessary legal procedures and sent the body to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Postmortem report can help in clarifying the cause of death. The police will proceed with the investigation based on the inquiries of the concerned people and the available evidence.
There was anger among the family members after the incident. Initially the family was not ready for postmortem. After that, police officer ASI Dukhi Ram Mahto explained to the family members and convinced them to complete the legal process. After that the dead body was sent to the hospital for postmortem.
The police have assured the family that they will investigate the matter and take action against the culprits.
This incident has also refreshed the memories of the family's previous tragedy. According to the report, about six months ago Sunny's aunt also died under suspicious circumstances. Now, after the death of one more member of the family, the grief of the family has become more intense.
The family is shocked by two deaths in the same family within a few months. Now they are waiting for the real reason behind Sunny's death to be revealed.
According to family members, Sunny had left home on Wednesday afternoon and had said that he would return soon. When he did not return home till evening, his family members called him, but the call was not connected. After the dead body was found in the well the next day, the main question facing the family is how Sunny died and under what circumstances did he reach the well.
In the police investigation, issues like when the youth left the house, who was with him, who he was last in contact with, what was the last location of his mobile and whether he himself reached the well or someone else had taken the dead body there can be investigated. However, detailed information regarding these issues has not yet been revealed by the police.
The postmortem report is being considered important in the case. If any kind of injury marks are found on the body or the cause of death is not drowning but some other reason is revealed, then the direction of investigation may change. Even if no such thing is revealed in the postmortem, the police will investigate based on the place and circumstances of the incident.
At present the police is investigating all possible aspects before reaching any conclusion.
The police will also investigate the allegations made by the family against Sunny's friends. A crime cannot be proven against a person merely on the basis of family members' allegations. During the investigation, the police will have to collect evidence to support the allegations.
For this, evidence like mobile call details, location, condition of the incident site, information of eyewitnesses and postmortem report can become important. If any person's role is revealed in the investigation, the police can take legal action against him.
After the incident, this incident is also being discussed in Kishanpur Mohalla and surrounding areas. The local people are surprised by the news of Sunny's death. There has been concern among the local people also due to the incident of dead body being found in the well.
This question is also important for the family that how the young man who had normally left home a few hours ago was found dead in a well the next day.
The grief of the family has become deeper due to the second death in the family within six months. After the suspicious death of the aunt, the family had not completely come out of the incident, while Sunny's death has again put the family in shock.
The family wants an impartial investigation into Sunny's death and if he was murdered, action should be taken against those responsible.
Police say that the matter will be investigated thoroughly. Further action will be taken after receiving the written application from the family and after the postmortem report comes. At present it is most important for the police to know the real cause of death. Only then will it be clear whether it was an accident, suicide or the result of some criminal incident.
After Sunny's body was sent for postmortem, the family is waiting for the report. Based on the postmortem report, the police will decide the direction of further investigation. If the suspicion of murder is strong in the report, then the police can speed up the search and interrogation of the accused. If any other reason is confirmed then legal action will be taken on that basis.
Currently, in the Chatra incident, issues like the dead body of a 24-year-old youth who had left home was found in a well the next day, his family members have accused his friends of murder and the second suspicious death in the family within six months is being investigated. The final answers to all these questions will emerge only after police investigation and postmortem report. Police have sent the dead body for postmortem and have started investigation into the matter.
