Alexa+ is available for free to all users in India from today. Hindi and Hinglish have been supported in it since the beginning. According to the company, Alexa+ can interact in a more natural way than before.
Alexa+ will remember things during conversation
Alexa+ can understand the context of user conversations. With this, the user will not need to repeat his words every time. This assistant can remember important information and choices made during the conversation. Based on this, it can prepare the further conversation according to the user.
Alexa+ can do many other things besides answering common questions. It can control supported smart home devices. Apart from this, it can also perform different tasks for the user through some supported services.
Hindi and Hinglish will be supported
The specialty of Alexa+ in India is its language support. According to Amazon, it can understand Hindi and Hinglish at launch. It can also respond to the user in both languages. The company has talked about adding more languages further.
Exclusive integration with Amazon Now
India is a special market for Alexa+. Amazon has here integrated Alexa+ with its quick-commerce platform Amazon Now. According to the company, India is the first country where both the services have been brought together.
Users can tell Alexa+ the need for different things. Alexa+ can add those items to the Amazon Now cart during a conversation. However, Alexa+ will not place orders on its own. Before completing the order, the user will have to confirm it through voice.
Prime members will not have to pay extra money
Alexa+ is currently free for all users in India. This feature is currently available in the early access phase. According to Amazon, even after the early access ends, Prime members will not have to pay separately for Alexa+.
Alexa+ will be available in new Fire and Echo devices
Alexa+ support is also being provided in Amazon's new hardware devices. The company's new generation Fire and Echo devices come with Alexa+. With this, users will be able to use the new AI assistant on these devices.
Amazon says that Alexa+ is designed to understand more complex requests and make conversations easier.
